Elm Road showing Coliseum Cinema

Built on the grounds of Dr Watson’s house on Elm Road Leigh the cinema opened in 1914. It was rebuilt in 1928 and again in 1936. Films were replaced by bingo from 1965 to 1997. Partially demolished in 2001 the shell has been converted into shops and flats.
